Description

The Business Analyst role is an advisor and facilitator role acting in support of the Product Owner and the development team to help design, document, and elucidate the business domain and how existing and proposed applications work. Within the Agile process, this translates to stocking and grooming the product backlog, developing application designs and requirements, making product and feature implementation decisions, and assisting other team members in understanding how the application should function.

The role is not solely focused on software development or defining requirements for development teams: a Business Analyst defines improvements to business processes, assists decision-makers in gathering information to make decisions, helps Quality Assurance test solutions and products, designs user interfaces, and assists in the diagnosis of production issues.

Responsibilities

Analyzing and describing the business domains restaurant products and Shift4 Payments customers as well as facilitating requirements management, planning, and product development processes;

Establishing a shared understanding of business objectives and needs within the team, translating them into requirements inventories, and assisting the Product Owner with handing requirements off into development;

Collaborate cross-functionally with the external team, Product Owner to achieve solid solutions which satisfy business needs, goals, and objectives;

Executing on product initiatives set in motion by the Product Owner, supporting the Product Owner with decision making;

Assisting the Product Owner in maintaining and refining the product backlog to keep it detailed appropriately, estimated, emergent, and prioritized;

Coaching team members on analysis techniques and the appropriate stakeholders to contact to enable self-organization and developer autonomy in grooming and functional decision making. Requirements

2-3 years of professional experience in business analysis or related field, working with a cloud-based platform;

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills;

Demonstrate the ability to solve problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation;

Excellent documentation and communication skills;

Effective verbal and written communication skills; experience in producing reports;

Understanding and/or experience with the software development process;

Basic understanding of SQL;

Experience in collaborating with UI/UX designers;

A keen awareness of payments industry preferred;

Experience in project management-related activities preferred;

Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) preferred;

Experience in Restaurant or Point-of-Sale development is a plus (as well as working in a restaurant/food service operations).

The salary range for this position is 3000-4000 EUR / gross. The exact salary will be determined based on candidate’s experience.
