Position Summary

Edgewell Personal Care is looking for a dynamic and energetic procurement professional to join our Indirect Procurement team! Our goal is to maximize return on commercial investments through strong business partnership and strong procurement acumen.

This position will have a hybrid schedule of 2 times/week at our Shelton, CT office

Universal Accountabilities

Work with suppliers to ensure that existing services meet their service targets

Help discover and coordinate continuous process improvements; helping identify opportunities to increase efficiency and eliminate non-value add activities

Interface with key business partners in various business functions, supporting these partners in supplier selection and budget optimization

Clearly define value add goals/objectives, and create empowered and accountable teams to design, implement and stabilize approved projects

Develop and implement indirect procurement strategy, goals and savings targets in line with company strategy and procurement best-practices

Oversee the development and execution of sourcing strategies including the setting of targets, timelines and resource plans while maximizing effective spend under management

Negotiate and execute contracts for U.S.-based Indirect spend

Develop relationships with senior executives from key suppliers and engage them in strategic supplier management for value crea on and innovation

Specific Accountabilities

Partner with the business to ensure that all appropriate indirect spend is optimized and that we are driving cost reductions with continuous improvement

Will execute on Edgewell’s tools and processes related to various functions such as billing, contracting, Non-Disclosure Agreements, vendor creation, payables, and more (e.g. Ariba, SAP/SRM, Readsoft, etc.).

Assist in managing assigned NA-based Indirect spend to levels that are commensurate with industry benchmarks for a company of our size

Support the optimization of vendor management for key vendors to ensure that the company is maximizing the relationships with these strategic vendor relationships

Build strong relationships with all business partners and suppliers

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or a related technical field

1-3 years in related experience

Previous experience in Procurement

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

Good negotiation and influencing skills

Good consulting skills, specifically in managing change, project management and presenting

Strong data and analytical skills

Capable of modeling Edgewell’s leadership competencies

Preferred Skills and Experience

Vendor management skills

Experience in Marketing and Professional Services Strategic Sourcing

Management of critical vendor relationships

Knowledge of the procure to pay process

Experience working on global projects

Demonstrated understanding of legal contracts, procurement, consulting, or sourcing experience

Proven track record of working with multi ple senior level stakeholders to deliver results

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including total cost analysis

Working Relationships

Reports directly to the Global Category Manager, Indirect Procurement

Work Environment

Office Environment - frequent sitting

Travel - up to as much as 10%

The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $84,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
