To help in building the process maps, also managing a group of analysts in mapping the processes to standards, based on defined timelines. Review the controls in processes and ensures improved controls across the EQ Group. Managing an organization-wide repository of process maps. Work with the Risk team on Organization Risk and Control Management. The role to be based out of Chennai location.

Business Function

Process CoE team work closely with the EQ India Operation and EQ Group functions across UK and US in driving the initiatives to optimize end-to-end processes across the organization. Estabilishing a culture of continuous improvement and helping the organization to manage the operations efficiently through robust control frameworks and process standardization.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Understand and create standardized process flows using BPMN standards.

Identify opportunities to optimize end-to-end processes across the organization as per BPMN standards.

Perform an assurance exercise in reviewing the maps created by the Leads, to ensure it is as per the requirement.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that control measures are effectively integrated into daily process flows.

Monitor and report on the effectiveness of controls, making recommendations for improvements as needed.

Prepare regular reports on process mapping, risk exposure, and control effectiveness for senior management.

Conduct trend analysis to anticipate potential challenges and propose preventive measures.

Work closely with risk leaders across each business to understand business processes and assess inherent risks.

Work with the risk team, in identifying the controls that cover the identified risks and ensure implementation.

Design and implement robust control frameworks to mitigate identified risks.

Establish feedback mechanisms to gather insights for refining processes and controls.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement intiatives, encouraging proactive identification of opportunities for enhancement.

Engagement with stakeholders across the Organization including senior and middle management for driving the initiatives.

Observe and provide regular updates on the status of ongoing initiatives.

Co-ordinate to ensure the implementation of reviewed and revised processes and controls by the respective stakeholders.

Competencies and Experience

The candidate should posses the following experience, skills and behaviours:

Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a relevant field. Master’s degree will be a plus.

10 to 12 years of experience with minimum 6 to 8 years as a Business Process Analyst or in a similar role.

Strong understanding of business process management and notation (BPMN) methodologies is required.

Working knowledge in BPM tools will be a plus (e.g., IBM Blueworks, Aris, Igraffx).

Proficiency and certification in process modeling and analysis techniques is required (e.g., BPMN, Six Sigma, Lean).

In-depth knowledge about work/process standardization, risk identification and controls.

Experience with process automation, workflow management, or business process management systems is preferred.

Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management principles will be an added advantage.
