GL Accounting Manager

Job Summary: As the General Ledger Accounting Manager, you'll oversee the financial processes of the company, including month-end closing activities such as journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial analysis. Additionally, you'll provide support to the Controller as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead the month-end close process, adhering to US GAAP policies.

Execute journal entries for month-end closing.

Reconcile and oversee intercompany accounts.

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

Maintain and manage the fixed asset module.

Investigate and resolve balance sheet items like Driver Clearing accounts and Driver AR, Reserves, and Escrow schedules.

Utilize appropriate systems and tools for generating reports, conducting research projects, and preparing reconciliations.

Ensure proper control, recording, and classification of financial transactions throughout the accounting cycle.

Assist in preparing supporting schedules for external auditors.

Identify and escalate pertinent issues to management.

Fulfill any other assigned duties.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Exhibit strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload within tight deadlines.

Meticulous attention to detail and adept problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Masters/MBA preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience required.

Working towards CPA or CMA certification.

Experience with GTG, NetSuite, Revenova/Accounting Seed a plus.

Prior experience in the transportation and/or logistics industry advantageous.
