Overview:
The Avionics Engineer Intern is responsible for the engineering data, instructions and documents and technical support that economically ensures the safety airworthiness and reliability of the Atlas Air aircraft with the following ATA chapters: 22, 23, 24, 31, 34, and 46 as well as assists other engineers with the data research, communicating objectives with other business units.
Responsibilities:
Assists Avionics Engineers with the following: Become acquainted with Company Fleet types and Aircraft for application of the following:
Research technical source documents for development of aircraft Engineering Orders and other Engineering documents as required.
Review aircraft Component and System reliability data to identify trends contributing to lower than expected Reliability for Company aircraft by Fleet Type.
Develop professional relationships with aircraft manufacturer representatives as well as aircraft systems manufacturers to assist in aircraft troubleshooting and repair.
Become vigilant in a regular review of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) to determine changes to aircraft systems and Operational requirements.
Develop effective Communication styles to effectively interact with different departments within an operating airline.
Actively engage with other Airline Technical Operations departments to determine possible fleet system challenges, identifying solutions based on collected information.
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in college/university/trade school required with studies or experience in supply chain
Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable with delivering presentations to senior leadership
Energetic personality
Flexibility to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to work independently and with others
Proficient in data analysis
Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion
Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Hourly Range: $21.50 - $26.00
Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
