Systems Server Administrator

Responsibilities:

Sentinel is looking for a Systems Server Administrator to join our client. This position involves the design, implementation, and optimization of server systems to support the smooth operation of the IT environment. This position is contract to hire with a hybrid schedule blending remote and onsite work at the Farmington Hills, MI location.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Systems Server Administrator or a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux/Unix).

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Experience with server hardware and storage systems.

Knowledge of security best practices and tools.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, etc.) are a plus.

The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment

A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required

Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
