Senior Procurement Specialist - Process & Systems

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist – Process & Systems to be the primary owner of the Catalent spend and market intelligence tools, ensuring the business has the relevant and accurate data to guide decision making to support the Global Procurement Organisation (GPO). This role will also own the Category Leadership, and will be own, develop, and deploy allocated sub-category strategies

This Senior Procurement Specialist – Process & Systems role is a remote role and can either be in travelling distance to Swindon or Bathgate. If Swindon based, then travel to Bathgate would be required occasionally.

The Role

To be the primary owner of the Catalent spend management tool, working with the vendor and the GPO to further enhance and maintain the tool on behalf of the GPO.

To have responsibility for the Global Procurement Saving Tracker (excel sheet) and working with Global Director to prepare global monthly savings data and KPI’s. Translating this data into meaningful information to share and facilitate monthly Segment/Division leadership operating mechanisms using said data.

Responsibility for category leadership for the purchasing card program (Bank of America). Working with Corporate Finance, Finance Transformation to roll out the purchasing/virtual card program across Europe and, in partnership with site procurement, increase adoption throughout North America.

Work with Central Procurement Operations Manager (Bathgate, UK) to develop and track capacity/demand plans, improve e-Sourcing tools and processes and on various GPO initiatives such as Paid on Time.

To collaborate with corporate functions such as Finance Transformation, Finance Shared Service, Corporate Finance on various initiatives such as purchase card program, paid on time metrics.

Demonstrate expertise in the development and utilization of the latest tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, to drive continuous process improvement in spend, RFx’s, contracting and scorecards/reports/communications, etc.

To use utilize the E-Procurement system and stay familiar with current technology.

The Candidate

Proven experience of procurement strategic sourcing experience, project management and strong analytical skills is a requirement.

Travel and finance category management preferred.

Global Operations, finance and matrix management experience preferred but not essential.

Proven experience of development and implementation of category strategies

A critical skill requirement is advanced analytical skills and being able to interpret data to share with stakeholders.

Advanced excel, PowerPoint, skills are critical, and Power BI is desirable

Excellent communications skills and a proven track record of engaging and working with stakeholders
