Pit Boss

Smoked On High Bbq in Columbus, OH is looking for one Pit bosses to join our strong team. We are located on 755 S High Street. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and extremely reliable.

Responsibilities

Arrive at the restaurant at 7 AM Wednesday-Sunday to take the meat off of the smoker

Wrap the meat for the day’s lunch and dinner service.

Load the smoker with the proper meats for the lunch and dinner service

Ensuring all meats and sides are prepared for the day’s lunch and dinner service, as well as finishing prep work for the remainder of the week

Assist the other staff with opening duties. Help with kitchen prep work.

Support Smoked on High Operations as requested

Maintain a clean kitchen (including do dishes as needed) and smoker area

Qualifications

Prior experience preferred, but not required

Employee must be extremely reliable and dependable and must be willing to arrive on time everyday.

Employee must promote a positive, respectful and safe environment for all staff, customers and the general public.

Compensation

The first twenty-one (21) calendar days of employment shall be considered and introductory period. During this introductory period, we will evaluate your suitability for employment and you can evaluate if the position seems like a good fit for you! The introductory wage is $12/hr for the 21 day introductory working period. Candidates that remain on after the introductory period will be paid $14/hr and be entered into the tip pool (tips are usually another $3-5/hr).
