JOB TITLE: LAURENS COUNTY EMS LIEUTENANT
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under limited supervision, supervises and maintains the operational readiness of EMS units on assigned shifts. Work involves supervising subordinate staff, providing pre-hospital care to the critically injured or ill within the parameters of license/certification, preparing and maintaining EMS records and reports as required, and performing related work as assigned. Reports to the EMS Captain.Requirements:MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
It requires an associate's degree or equivalent obtained at a two-year college or technical school in emergency medical service supplemented by five years of emergency medical experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Must possess an S.C. EMT-Paramedic certification; basic Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support or Basic Trauma Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and CEVO. Must possess a valid state driver's license.
