As we continue to expand, we are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our USA-based team and help us lead the change in agriculture. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of irrigation projects by managing Bills of Quantities, involving detailed measurement and costing of construction work, managing the tender process, and ensuring that the project stays on budget with accurate cost estimates.

Main responsibilities:

● Checking Bills of Quantities: Doing QA Bills of Quantities (BoQ). This involves the detailed measurement and description of every aspect of the construction work, including materials, labor, and services required.

● Cost Estimation and Planning: Using the BoQ, estimate the costs for the project. This is crucial for budget planning and provides a basis for cost control throughout the project.

● Contract Administration: The BoQ forms a part of the contract documents, ensuring that all parties adhere to it and that any changes or variations are properly managed and documented.

● Project Monitoring and Reporting: During the installation phase, they monitor the

project to ensure that it adheres to the BoQ. They report any deviations and update

cost forecasts accordingly.

● Change Management: In the event of changes or variations in the project, the Quantity Surveyor adjusts the BOQ accordingly and re-estimates the costs.

● Final Account Settlement: At the completion of the project, they prepare the final account, ensuring all work done is reflected in the BoQ and reconciling the total costs.

Skills and qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

● Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

● Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (Agriculture/Irrigation industry preferred).

● Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management systems/design systems(AutoCad).

The successful candidate will be:

● Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

● Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

● Highly motivated and results-oriented.

● Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Self-sufficient, with a can-do attitude.

Additional notes:

● Availability may be required at unusual hours, as part of supporting global operations.
