SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for performing in-process inspections, verifying traceability, and correcting product and procedures issues prior to QA inspection. As part of the On-Line QC duties, they are required to enforce GMP rules on the line and surrounding areas. On-Line QC is required to rotate through all other Assembly positions as required by Supervisor. This position requires use of some PPE and special tools such as gloves and box cutters.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Obey GMP’s and PPE’s for production areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure the lines are set up for all quality testing.

Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Accurately record test data.

Inspect, test, or measure materials, products and work for conformance to specifications.

Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.

Responsible for monitoring SSOP, GMP's & HACCP.

Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently.

Works on Alternative Work Week Schedule (12 hour)

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. In addition, 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job assignment an individual must meet the required job specific training located in the Training Register.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Must have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Reading ability sufficient to understand moderately complex information (instruction manuals, procedure manuals, etc.).

Mathematical ability sufficient to perform basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Analytical ability sufficient to use clearly defined work procedures and readily available facts or other information to make recommendations, which will achieve established performance requirements.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and can be regularly exposed to extreme hot or cold. The employee is constantly exposed to vibrations. The employee is also exposed to fumes, or airborne particles. The work environment can be noisy and/ or moderately loud. Some personal protective equipment may be mandatory depending on location.
