Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Shift Lead to help us maintain the highest level of service and organization in our grocery store. As a Shift Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations during your assigned shifts and be responsible for supervising and supporting our team members.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of grocery store associates by setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment.

Customer Service: Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills by assisting customers, resolving issues, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Inventory Management: Oversee the stocking and replenishment of shelves, ensuring products are well-organized, properly labeled, and fresh.

Cash Handling: Manage cash registers, process transactions, and balance cash drawers accurately.

Opening and Closing: Open and close the store, including performing opening and closing procedures, ensuring security, and safeguarding assets.

Training and Development: Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Quality Control: Monitor product quality and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Safety Compliance: Ensure the store maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.

High school diploma or equivalent.
