Searchlight Cyber provides organizations with relevant and actionable dark web threat intelligence, to help them identify and prevent criminal activity.

Founded in 2017 with a mission to stop criminals acting with impunity on the dark web, we have been involved in some of the world’s largest dark web investigations and have the most comprehensive dataset based on proprietary techniques and ground-breaking academic research.

Today we help government and law enforcement, enterprises, and managed security services providers around the world to illuminate deep and dark web threats and prevent attacks.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We're looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to support our sales team, handling any and all technical elements of the sales process. This will be a US based role, primarily supporting our US team, however you may support our team in EMEA or APAC from time to time also.

Working closely with our Sales and Marketing teams, you will take a lead in the technical aspects of our sales process, including areas such as pre-sales, technical demonstration and customer onboarding where required.

Operating nationwide in conjunction with our sales team, we are looking for people with a background in B2B, SaaS technical sales, ideally from a security based product. Experience selling to our target clients in the commercial sector, in areas such as MSP’s/MSSP’s, Finance and other highly regulated or security aware industries would be a real benefit.

When you're not busy helping win new business you will be supporting existing business with technical challenges and support. You'll be kept busy with customer interaction and helping to add technical value.

WHAT WILL I DO?

Develop an in depth knowledge of our products, enabling you to best demonstrate these to our customers

Work closely with sales and marketing to handle the technical elements of the sales process - Pre Sales, Product education, Technical RFP/RFQ questions, product demonstrations, engaging with technical stakeholders etc.

Work closely with our product and software teams to ensure that our products are fit for purpose and continually improving

Support the process of creating winning quotes, bids and tenders in support of the business development team

Attend conferences, events and trade shows in support of marketing and sales

Provide training and support material for Sales, Customers and the wider business

Work with our product and marketing teams to drive new feature development and supporting customer queries and requests

Provide analyst support where needed, adding value to the wider business

Support the delivery of our Dark Web Academy, a training program for our customers on all things dark web.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Proven experience in a Pre Sales, Technical Sales or Solution Engineering role, ideally from Cyber Security company, experience with both product and SaaS sales

Excellent customer facing skills, confident in negotiation, demonstration and customer support with stakeholders of all levels

Passion and knowledge for the cyber security market, covering areas such as the Darkweb, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response

Understanding of software or data tools such as Python, PHP or similar

Experience with Hubspot would be a benefit

Understanding of customer requirements for cyber security, preferably through previous experience in pen-testing, analytics or managed service support
