Indian Canyon Post acute care center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care and treatment to patients with wounds, ensuring their comfort and promoting healing. Duties:

- Assessing and evaluating patients' wounds to determine the appropriate course of treatment

- Developing and implementing individualized wound care plans

- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

- Monitoring patients' progress and documenting changes in their condition

- Educating patients and their families on wound care techniques, prevention, and self-care

- Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care

- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and sterile environment

- Providing emotional support and counseling to patients during the healing process

Requirements:

- Valid nursing license in California

- Proven experience as a Wound Care Nurse or similar role

- In-depth knowledge of wound care techniques, including dressing selection, debridement, and infection control

- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and wound healing process

- Excellent assessment skills to accurately diagnose wound conditions

- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as negative pressure wound therapy devices

- Effective communication skills to educate patients on wound care procedures and provide emotional support

- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others heal
