Salary Range: $14-$16 per hour

About Forest Lake Club:

Forest Lake Club began as a golf club in 1923, located on the old Dents Pond adjacent to a popular swim club enjoyed by many Columbia residents. The construction of the golf course was followed by a new clubhouse, and tennis courts with swimming in Forest Lake. After 100 years, it remains the premier country club in the Midlands.

Job Summary:

This position must provide labor support for maintenance and improvements of the golf course as well as the grounds. They will work closely with the Golf course superintendent and assistant superintendents.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain the golf course, clubhouse grounds, and tennis facilities.

Walk mowing, blowing, raking, watering, sting trimming, edging, debris removal, cleaning, and other maintenance tasks.

Must exercise safe and efficient operation and care of hand tools, hand-operated power tools, walking mowers, light duty utility vehicles, and other maintenance equipment.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to walk over four miles.

Must be able to walk over uneven terrain.

Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.

Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.

Qualifications, Education, & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred as well as 5 years experience in maintenance. A job for which military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
