ATL is seeking Geotechnical Driller candidates. This position provides an opportunity for individuals to work in a diverse marketplace and offers a challenging and rewarding career. Experienced and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Geotechnical Driller Qualifications:
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
Experience operating drill rigs or heavy equipment
Mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with machinery
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Basic math skills
Willing to travel throughout New York State
A valid New York State CDL driver’s license or the ability to obtain within 3 months
A positive attitude, with ability to work independently and in a team environment
Enjoy working outdoors in a hands-on environment
Geotechnical Driller Responsibilities:
Mobilization of drilling equipment and supplies to various locations throughout New York State
Safely operate and maintain drill rigs and associated equipment to execute geotechnical and environmental investigation programs in accordance with industry standards and project specific scopes of work
Maintain safe work sites conforming to OSHA and project specified standards
Prepare boring, test pit, and monitor well construction logs
Install geotechnical instrumentation
Effectively communicate with Engineers, Geologists, Scientists, Project Managers, and owner’s representatives
