Job Summary
As the Operations Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and strategically partner with key decision-makers and stakeholders within Fischer Homes. Your primary goals will be to reduce costs, improve productivity, and deliver transformational initiatives by utilizing your financial planning and analysis skills. These skills will be used to:
Support the Senior Vice President of Operations, other leaders in Operations, and the FP&A team with ad hoc analyses and special projects including identifying, prioritizing, and helping to execute the activities required to support strategic objectives, priorities, and initiatives.
Evaluate the financial performance of the business compared to budgeted results and deliver insights to executive leaders on the key drivers of business performance.
Serve as a key partner to functional leaders in Operations, providing clear and effective decision support, thought leadership, information flow, and overall financial guidance.
Support month-end and projection processes in close partnership with Accounting Operations and Corporate FP&A teams through detailed reporting, variance analysis, and insights.
Establish process improvements and efficiencies in partnership with the Operations team.
Lead the development and compilation of the 5-year strategic plan’s key operational and financial metrics, annual budget, and quarterly projections for Operations.
Provide clear reporting and perform financial analysis to track variances against financial plans and prior year results, and address root causes, as appropriate. Identify potential risks and opportunities and deliver recommendations to help strengthen business and operational results.
Lead and manage one direct report with the potential to further build out the team in the future.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Advanced degree
Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, cost control, or heavy asset industries.
Experience leading teams and developing talent
