Qualifications
10+ years of construction engineering experience
Experience in management, coaching, training, with strong leadership skills
Expert understanding of construction means, methods, and techniques
Experience with a variety of construction management software platforms
Expert understanding of project budgets and managing job costs effectively
Strong negotiation and problem resolution skills
Ability to communicate effectively with the entire project team
Skilled in listening, assessing issues, and solving problems independently
Ability to manage multiple projects while staying organized and complying with deadlines
Positive attitude, team player, and fun to be around
Responsibilities Include:
Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation to closeout
Allocate resources for assigned projects
Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to manage costs
Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
Lead dynamic and effective meetings
Dedicate time to training, mentoring, and team development
Oversee and assist a team of project engineers conducting:
Bid solicitation, follow up, and management
Takeoff and estimating
Subcontract and purchase order writing
Submittal solicitation and approval
Preparation and processing of change orders
Punchlist, closeout, and warranty follow up
