We are seeking an experienced welder, AWS/ASME certified, with the ability to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and Inconel in the GMAW and FCAW processes, as well as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in the GTAW process. Minimum 5 years welding experience in a work environment required. Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics as well as understand AWS welding symbols is a must. Needs to be capable of passing a weld test for welding procedures in the 2G, 5G, and/or 6G position within 90 days of hire.
Welder Responsibilities:
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered equipment to match measurements)
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
Align components using tape measure, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps to restore material thickness
Use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
Stand for long periods of time, climb up and down ladders, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch
Use MRP (computer software) to locate drawings, locate work instructions and log labor hours
Follow safe work practices
Keep station clean and organized
Welder Requirements:
Proven experience as welder
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, etc.)
Experience in using electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, welding symbols, and weld procedure specifications
Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is preferred
Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate)
Computer efficient
Knowledge of relative safety standards
Deftness and attention to detail
Good listening habits
Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes
Capable of standing for long periods of time
Strong work ethic

Work Environment:
· Shop floor.
· This position is in a manufacturing setting using the usual equipment like computers, box cutters, tape guns and material moving equipment such as carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary starting at: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 54 per week
