RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for Senior Environmental Justice Associate to join our superior workforce. The Senior Environmental Justice Associate will support the Community Jobs and Justice (CJJ) Team within the Outreach and Business Development Division, overseeing and managing the implementation of Community Benefits Plans (CBP) at LPO. The Community Benefits Plans are being integrated into all LPO Programs (ATVM, Title 17, CIFIA, and TEGP).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Community Benefits Plans process for the portfolio of Projects from due diligence through closing and the first year of portfolio management
Provide expertise across all LPO projects on one or more areas of the Community Benefits Plan Priorities such as Community and Labor Engagement, DEIA, Justice40, and Quality Jobs
Lead Community engagement with Applicants/ Borrowers, including Community and Workforce Roundtables and Community Impact Tours
Assist in the development of LPO's overall CBP implementation plan in your role on the CJJ Working Group
Implement LPO CBP communications efforts, including making CBP public, sharing stories of LPO Borrowers, and elevating, sharing, and recognizing best practices
Work with a diverse set of stakeholders to assist and provide education, outreach, and assistance regarding DOE's Justice40 Initiative
Create and strengthen relationships with environmental justice communities and stakeholders to facilitate the exchange of ideas and encourage community participation in the process
Work with others to research and develop communication, engagement, and outreach materials for communities, stakeholders, and environmental justice advocates
Provide research and analysis on long-term financing and funding, and the associated policy impacts, for full implementation of the Justice40 Initiative and other environmental policiesRequirements:
Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
5-10 years experience in any of the following: environmental justice, community engagement, labor, workforce development, clean energy, economic development
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and constituencies, including industry and community
Experience coordinating and managing programs and projects across multiple partners, including government or nonprofit organizations
Initiative to create and develop new processes, procedures, and policies
Proven ability to effectively accomplish goals, produce deliverables, and meet deadlines
Ability to provide guidance and training to a wide variety of audiences
Ability to navigate internal processes and procedures against tight timelines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree
