Inpria, a subsidiary of JSR Corporation, has an opening for an Analytical Intern based in Corvallis, OR for the summer of 2024. You will join our diverse team of talent and contribute to our Analytical Operations team by supporting GC analyses required for production of our EUV photoresists. Your desire to gain experience handling high-purity chemicals, quality management systems, and knowledge of analytical metrology tool sets will help fuel our company’s growth, support our key customers, and provide you with opportunities to expand your career.

Analytical Intern Responsibilities

Perform routine chemical QC testing by following documented work instructions under the direction of senior chemists.

Perform hands-on sample preparation for instrumental analyses (including chromatography and spectroscopy)

Perform wet-bench tests (e.g., titrations) following documented SOPs.

Frequently communicate and engage with a diverse team of chemists, engineers, and technicians.

Demonstrate consistent analytical techniques and maintain a clean, safe lab workspace.

Maintain analytical mindset, with critical focus on accuracy, consistency, and reproducibility.

Analyze data and present findings to the technical team.

Analytical Intern Key Qualifications

BS-seeking student currently enrolled in an accredited university Chemistry program.

At least one year of analytical chemistry coursework including laboratory work.

Experience with analytical instruments is a plus, GC preferred.

Analytical mindset with critical focus on accuracy, consistency, and reproducibility

Chemical sample preparation and quantitative analysis

Experience in instrumental analysis.

Basic conceptual understanding of Gas Chromatography with various detectors (FID, TCD, MS)

Working knowledge of Excel, JMP, or equivalent

Physical Requirements

Ability to wear standard PPE in areas that require it.

Ability to lift 30lbs from floor to countertop.

Ability to lift 20lbs overhead.

Ability to use a glovebox with thick rubber gloves to accurately pour, pipet, mix, and handle chemicals in small vials or bottles.

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Ability to use a keyboard and mouse for computer data entry and/or analysis and presenting data.

Compensation

Inpria offers summer interns $18-23/hour, depending on experience.
