About Role:

Senior IBM iSeries + Synon Senior IT Technical Analyst responsible for the hands-on maintenance and support of iSeries software applications critical to the client operations

Key Requirements:

Handle P1/P2/P3/P4 tickets raised by application users.

• Provide problem resolutions and support day to day operations.

• Monitor batch jobs and take action when needed.

• Work on minor enhancements to add new functionality to the existing application.

• Work on solutions to technical and functional requirements

• After gaining application knowledge, should have the ability to come up with design documents and suggest process improvements.

• Analyze information though Data models and Architecture diagrams.

• Support Disaster Recovery exercise involving creating tasks and coordinating with various interface teams to successfully execute the operation.

• Support internal and external audits of the application and provide the necessary artifacts and data requested by the auditors.

• Perform Change reviews of code changes related to bug fixes, enhancements and large development activities done on the application.

• Support planning, implementation and testing of new software to be installed to the iSeries server and end-user devices.

• Prepare Technical documentation, user guides and manuals.

• Mentor new/existing resources in functional/technical aspects of the application.

• Collaborate with other teams such as infra iSeries, Risk team, and other IT groups.

• Interact with third-party vendors for licensing, contract renewal and product support.What do you bring?

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in a combination of the following: IBM iSeries, RPG, CL, RPG ILE

• 7+ years of hands-on experience on Synon is mandatory.

• 5+ years of SDLC experience.

• Perfect command of SQL (Ability to write, analyze, troubleshoot/maintain/enhance complex SQL queries).

• Experience in using and configuring ROBOT Scheduler.

• Basic understanding of network and connectivity such as interfaces, FTP and network drivers.

• Experience in productivity tools such as Hawkeye and Journals Made Easy.

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

• Flexible to learn and understand new technologies.

• Working knowledge of iSeries web server, support of existing and implementation of low/medium complexity requirements

• Proven track record of working with complex workflows across multiple systems, E2E understanding of business processes, business rules implementation.

• Knowledge of a iSeries change management tool (MKS Implementer preferable)

• Long term commitment to be in the project. Basic understanding of accounting and commodity trading would be great
