Senior Database Administrator

You will be working as part of a global team of database administers supporting a large environment of SQL and NoSQL database servers in a 24x7 production capacity.

Primary responsibilities for this role will be to perform typical DBA activities in support of database platforms in customer staging and production environments.

Additional duties will include working directly with application engineers, architects, and developers involved in release transition to ensure each release is compliant with Database operations requirements.

In this role, you will:

Support a variety of database technologies with primary responsibility for Microsoft SQL Server

Ensure security standards are properly implemented and maintained

Bring forward opportunities for enhancement of database security and scalability

Effectively manage capacity planning and requirements

Perform Incident and Problem management duties

You ve got what it takes if you have:

Expert at SQL Server database administration, troubleshooting, security, and performance.

Specialization in MS SQL Performance tuning and Optimization

Expert communicator with both technical peers and executives in the US and India.

Expert level understanding of and experience with Always-On Clustering

Analyze databases, access patterns, and estimate capacity needs.

Sound knowledge on Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.

Experienced with database encryption at rest and in motion as well as key management.

Experience with diagnostic monitoring tools such as Solar Winds

Experience in evaluating, planning, and performing database server upgrades.

Ability to document standard operating procedures.
