About the role

Are you ready for an exciting new full-time opportunity in the Positive Behaviour Support industry? CPBS is seeking experienced Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our forward-thinking and dedicated Melbourne team based in Eumemmerring. This is your chance to further develop your professional, clinical and leadership skills. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.

Reporting to the Regional Clinical Manager, the Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner will supervise a small team of Behaviour Support Practitioners and Behaviour Therapists. You’ll also conduct assessments, write behavioural support plans and programs, and assist with the implementation of plans. You will still manage a small caseload of your own participants, allowing both your clinical and leadership capabilities to flourish.

Responsibilities

Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans

Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions after assessment and diagnosis

Provide training, support and clinical supervision of Behaviour Support Practitioners/Behaviour Therapists

Use behavioural, psychological and evidence-based theories to develop and implement program designs and interventions

Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders

Adhere to NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements

Essential Requirements

A minimum of three years’ experience as a practitioner of positive behaviour support services

Master's level post graduate qualifications in Positive Behaviour Support, Applied Behaviour Analysis or any other Master's or PhD in a similar field

Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to Behaviour Support Practitioners

Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment

High level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports

Mandatory compliance checks including NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Practitioner ID and any relevant State-issued WWCC/WWVP cards

Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-Element Positive Behaviour Support

A valid Driver’s License, current motor vehicle insurance and access to a roadworthy vehicle suitable for work-related purposes
