The Opportunity:

SourceAmerica is searching for a Vice President, Marketing Communications to join its team, focused on leading a team of marketing, communications, public relations, creative, and web professionals, ensuring the success of effective internal and external communications, client relationship management, brand integrity, and operational efficiencies. This position helps connect our network of over 575 nonprofit agencies with federal procurement opportunities across the United States! Our network of nonprofit Agencies (NPAs) perform service and product contracts mainly for Federal agencies and help employ over 33,000+ people with disabilities nationally.

There is a strong preference for this position to be based in the Washington, DC area although qualified candidates from other regions of the country will be considered. If you are not based in the greater Washington, DC area, you will be expected to travel to SourceAmerica's National Office at least quarterly.

The Day-to-Day:

As a Vice President, Marketing Communications, your work functions will include but are not limited to the following. A full position description will be given to candidates at the time of the interview.

This position manages a team of 25 people (5 are direct reports) and a variety of external vendors. Direct personnel management of communications, marketing, graphic and video, advertising, and project management are essential experiences needed in the right candidate.

Overall responsibility for SourceAmerica's brand, this marketing communications leader will direct the creation and implementation of strategies to maximize brand awareness, understanding and preference for SourceAmerica and the AbilityOne Program.

Set the direction for the marketing communication business unit through analysis of client input, market research, and strategy and planning to lead to the development of marketing communication programs that support the enterprise-wide strategic plan.

Contribute strategic ideas and innovative thinking to enable business objectives and actively contribute higher-level ideas and messaging that position and differentiate SourceAmerica, the NPA network, and the AbilityOne Program.

Other responsibilities will be assigned as organizational needs arise.

Salary Range

The salary for this position falls in a range between $164,000 - $216,000 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.

Your Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. SourceAmerica recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the educational requirement.

Greater than 15 years of relevant work experience Marketing Communications, Media Relations, and Publications.

Leadership experience managing an in-house agency or large marketing and communications teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree or MBA in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution.

Greater than 10 years of management experience in Marketing, Business, and Communications.

Proven experience in supervision, management, and deployment of resources for most effective and efficient use of resources.

Extensive experience in graphic design, print, video, web, and writing processes with ability to connect and communicate strategic direction for creative outputs.

We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as our primary business application system for much of our office processes- experience with D365 or using similar methods is preferred.

Work Environment

Our organization offers both a hybrid work model-where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek-as well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements. There is a strong preference for this position to be based in the Washington, DC area although qualified candidates from other regions of the country will be considered. If you are not based in the greater Washington, DC area, you will be expected to travel to SourceAmerica's National Office at least quarterly.
