We are currently hiring for an Operating Room Nurse who will support the philosophy, objectives, goals and mission of Ohio Orthopedic Surgery Institute. The OR Nurse will act as a patient advocate, providing safe, quality, individualized patient care for adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients, and meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the health care team.
On-site at our Columbus and Grove City locations Job Responsibilities:
Assess, Plan, Evaluate, and Implement a safe and individualized plan of patient care according to facility policies and procedures.
Assume an active role in the provision of quality nursing care in the Operating Room.
Prepare room, equipment and supplies needed for procedure.
Safely operate surgical equipment such as electrocautery, suction, power equipment, etc.
Follow proper procedures regarding exposure to Category 1 tasks.
Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous waste materials.
Document information required on operating room record.
Audit medical records for accuracy.
Always follows appropriate facility policies and procedures
Interact with all patients, families, visitors, fellow employees, physicians and other service providers in a mature, considerate, and responsible manner.
Uphold the principles of compliance through the review of policies, training and education of staff, monitoring processes, and communicating concerns.

About Us:
Our ambulatory surgery centers were developed by area physicians to provide high quality, patient-focused outpatient care. The professional staff of Ohio Orthopedic Surgery Institute is dedicated to providing the highest quality of individualized patient care as if each patient was a family member.
Each of our two ASCs (Upper Arlington and Grove City) have five fully-equipped operating rooms and one procedure room with the latest medical technology and expertise. We are equipped for Foot and Ankle Surgery, General Orthopedics, Joint Replacement/Reconstruction, Hand/Wrist Surgery, Pain Management & Spine Care, Spine Surgery, and Sports Medicine.
