LHH has teamed up with a long-time client on the hunt for a dynamic Software Engineering Manager to join their team. This role is fully-remote!

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee software development lifecycles for departmental projects, covering requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.

Manage and mentor a small development team, sharing expertise to enhance technical knowledge.

Create coding patterns for less experienced team members and participate in code reviews.

Monitor team performance and metrics to optimize productivity, efficiency, and compliance.

Provide data, reports, and information to senior management.

Identify and address trends and technology-related errors, collaborating on solutions.

Focus on continual improvement of policies, procedures, and processes.

Design and enhance in-house APIs, collaborating with third-party web services.

Write, test, and debug customizations and new features following coding standards.

Manage application development personnel, including selection, coaching, professional development, and feedback.

Resolve high-level issues using expertise.

Allocate departmental resources to deliver business value on time and within budget.

Stay updated on technology trends and contribute to high-level IT decisions.

Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Minimum seven years of software/web development experience, with at least two years in a lead/supervisory role.

Proficient in LAMP architecture, OO Design Principles, and Patterns.

Experience with Laravel, Zend, Symfony, and REST APIs.

Experience with Large, complex distributed systems/environments.
