The Instrumentation Field Engineer is responsible for the technical oversight of all instrumentation activities on the project. The selected applicant shall provide direction to instrumentation field engineering in support of the superintendents responsible for executing the instrumentation construction work. This position is not considered the design authority for the project, but only to enforce electrical construction per design.
Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering, Science or Technology (or applicable)
Minimum of 8 years experience directly related to turbine / generator asset management, maintenance, and technical support
Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted site access
Responsibilities
The Principal Engineer – Turbine provides governance and oversight for Turbine / Generator activities.
The Corporate Turbine / Generator Engineer will be a Subject Matter Expert and will ensure industry leading performance via a robust Preventative Maintenance program and Long Term Asset Management Strategies benchmarked against industry best practices, and will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Provides support to the sites on complex and strategic issues
Performs thirds party reviews of technical documents
Leads complex engineering analysis and technical issues beyond the capabilities of the sites
Provides in-the-field support during refuel outages
Supports common projects affecting both sites as part of business and project planning
Supports resolution of industry issues that affect both sites
