Product Engineer

Amotec is actively seeking a Product Metallurgist to join our clients team. Our client is a leading manufacturer in the steel industry and has been in business for over 100 years. The Product Metallurgist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and performance of steel products manufactured by the company. Product Metallurgist Responsibilities:

Engineering product support for rolling mill production in steel making

Conducting metallurgical analysis of raw materials and finished products, assessing mechanical properties and microstructures, and interpreting data to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements

Collaborates with production teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize manufacturing processes, and implement quality improvement initiatives

Provides technical support to internal stakeholders and customers, participating in product development projects, and staying abreast of advancements in metallurgical science and technology

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of metallurgical principles are essential for success in this role

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a relevant field is mandatory.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing engineering support for product development in steel manufacturing, particularly in rolling mill production, is required.
