Cordatus is a flexible capital provider focused on – but not limited to – control equity investments in lower-middle market companies. On behalf of our high net worth individual and family office investors, we have completed numerous investments in a wide range of industries, including the Healthcare, Industrial, Consumer, Manufacturing, and Energy sectors.

Position Description

Cordatus is looking to add a Business Development Professional who will manage the firm’s origination efforts. He/she willdevelop (with the Partners) and execute Cordatus’ business development strategy to generate meaningful incremental dealflow. This will include (but is not limited to) working in close partnership with Cordatus’ Partners to build relationships withregional investment banks and other deal source channels such as direct outreach to prospects, lawyers and accountants,and represent the firm at industry conferences and trade shows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record

• At least 3-4 years of professional experience, with at least 2 in a business development capacity

• Polished and articulate writing and speaking skills, demonstrating self-confidence and tact

• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record of building relationships quickly

• Demonstrated excellence in school, sport, or other endeavor and clear passion to win

• Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to operate independently

• Driven, strong passion for self-development, and high integrity

• High level of maturity and an exceptional work ethic

• Resourceful; strong organizational skills

• Prior experience with M&A transactions is a plus

Compensation

Competitive, consisting of a base salary and performance-based bonus. Participation in investment carry and opportunity to directly invest in transactions.
