Senior Machine Learning Engineer

I am partnered with a Series A Start-Up, who are transforming the e-commerce landscape by redefining the shopping experience and offering a platform, where customers can engage and transact directly within a conversation thread.

Reporting directly to the CTO, they are hiring for a Software Engineer (Machine Learning), where you will be responsible for helping to spearhead and scale their AI products and platform. In order to achieve this, they are looking for this individual to focus on refining their conversational AI bots, enhancing the functionality of their e-commerce search and optimizing their product recommendation systems.

You will play a crucial role in helping them to advance their Machine Learning capabilities across Machine Learning applications and to be hands on and have the ability to both design and implement Large Language Models.

Given the small ML team, they are looking to see solid software engineering fundamentals and some expertise in a specific area e.g. model training, hosting, MLOps etc. Ideally, you will have some ML Infrastructure background, or expertise in relevant modeling areas e.g. product recommendation's.

Responsibilities

Design and develop their AI Marketing platform, taking full ownership from conceptualization to production

Lead the entire machine learning lifecycle, including project definition and driving excellence across teams.

Create highly scalable classifiers and tools utilizing machine learning, data regression, and rule-based models.

Explore innovative approaches for recommender systems through experimentation.

Gather and synthesize requirements

Design and Develop an impactful feature roadmap

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience

Hands on experience with designing and implementing a Large Language Model

Ability to demonstrate expeirence in building large-scale production systems

Knowledge of common ML Ops tooling/platforms
