Our client is hiring a General Manager of Manufacturing to oversee all operations within their facility in Massachusetts. As the General Manager, this indevidual will oversee the day-to-day operations and be a key leader in the execution of their company strategy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees daily operational, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and compliance flows
Plans, organizes, and supervises all operations
Creates, implements, and manages budget and take full ownership for the SG&A of the facility
Oversees department heads to ensure daily, monthly, and yearly goals are met and exceeded.
Maximizes individual outputs to support growth by identifying, addressing, and resolving key issues and creatively motivating your people
Assess and review employee performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Runs weekly department meetings to discuss company updates, risks, and opportunities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting
Manages, updates and reports facility activity using company systems and summarize information to support decision making.
Accountable for the department’s growth through the development and enforcement of SOPs, lean methods, fair policies, and procedures, while meeting all company standards for safety and compliance
Leads presentations to the Executive team on a regular basis to communicate the status of the department and provide updates on how business objectives are being met.
Collaborates with sales, marketing, operational teams to maintain and grow market share.
Establishes the necessary staffing levels and ensure open positions are filled on time and with high-performing individuals.
Communicates with cross-functional Managers and Directors to motivate, enforce, and ensure overall success of the operation.
Ensures diligence in recording and reporting daily transactional reporting.
Required Skills/Abilities:
At least 21 years old per state law
Experience overseeing multiple operation sites
Experience managing multiple verticals within the operation
Experience managing 300+ reports
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma in a manufacturing environment a must
Experience with supply chain planning and budgeting
Thorough knowledge of Finance, HR, Procurement, and Operations
General knowledge of Microsoft suite
Outstanding leadership qualities
