Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a full time Hospitalist Physician at Massena Memorial Hospital in Massena, NY! Our Hospitalist Physicians work 12- hour shifts (7 on 7 off rotation) as this is a lower volume hospital with 12- hours of APP support as well...

Massena Hospital is currently running at 80 to 95% of occupancy. A continual commitment to upgrade and expand services to the needs of community and today’s medical technology. Recently completed a $14 million construction/renovation project to include new ICU/ CCU/Telemetry, Medical Laboratory, Medical Imaging Center with separate Women's Imaging Center, Physical/Rehab and Respiratory Therapy Departments; and a beautiful new front entrance with private registration areas.

Position Description:

The Physician is responsible for in-patient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults. The Physician will assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories. The Physician will document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records.

Requirements:

Excellent clinical skills

ACLS required

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Effective organizational/time management skills

Current license to practice medicine in New York State

BE/BC in Internal Medicine, or Family Practice is preferred
