Senior Category Manager

Pacific International are partnered with a leader in the Industrial engineering sector.

The organization is constantly growing through acquisitions and the formation of exciting new brands from product innovation. The organization's core goal is to define and roll out their 'one best way' and keep above their competitors in regards to safety, quality, cost and delivery, not only in their operations but all divisions of the business. Their strive to reach their corporate goals requires constant continuous improvement and an aligned cultural mindset.

With this, we are working with the Director of the category in question, across the global business unit. This professional would need to have the ability in to assess industry and consumer trends, as well as analyze product categories and improve relationships with vendors to optimize the consumer appeal.

This professional will need to be talented at collaborating globally, manage extensive spend and be assertive with expressing opinion based on their professional contemplation.

Role responsibility.

Develop and implement supplier strategies for all suppliers responsible.

Lead value-based negotiations with suppliers annually in cooperation with business.

Manage escalated supplier topics including performance, capacity, and risk management.

Ensure compliance for contract and certifications. Support contractual disputes.

Understand varying business needs and manage stakeholders’ expectations.

25-30% travel may be expected (primary domestic)

Ability to set own priorities to succeed management of multiple high-profile suppliers.

Conduct well prepared data driven negotiations.

Required Qualifications.

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or other related.

5+ years’ experience in Procurement, Sourcing or Supplier Management.

Experience working with Foundry and machining industry.
