Job Description
Position Purpose:
Assists cooks in the preparation of all items for the Food and Beverage outlets.
Duties:
Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables and marinating meats
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service
Adhere to dietary restrictions and special requests from customers
Skills
Culinary skills: Knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor combinations, and food presentation
Experience in a dietary department or similar food service environment
Proficient in food handling and safety practices
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong knife skills for food preparation
Familiarity with the food industry and its standards
Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred, but not required
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
Ability to work well as part of a team
