Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

DMF Lighting is looking for a mechanical engineer to join our dynamic engineering team.

This role is onsite in Carson, CA.

Responsibilities:

•Lead mechanical design efforts for new lighting fixture products, from concept development to final production.

•Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings.

•Apply hands-on experience gained through coursework, personal projects, and workshops to prototype and test designs.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure design feasibility and functionality.

•Conduct analysis and testing to validate design performance and reliability.

•Interact with local or overseas vendors on projects.

•Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality control teams during production.

Qualifications:

•Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Design.

•Professional proficiency with SolidWorks.

•Hands-on experience in course/personal projects and workshops.

•Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

•Knowledge of die-casting, extrusion, and sheet metal processes is a plus.

•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

•Understanding of electrical concepts and ability to collaborate effectively with electrical engineers is a plus.Company Description
