Job Details

Heating and Cooling Mechanical Systems Engineers focus on creating and maintaining various environmental systems to ensure temperature, humidity, and pressure remain within customer-supplied limits. You will have the opportunity to apply your engineering expertise on projects such as project planning, conceptual design through construction, drawing development, economic & energy analysis, load calculations, design and layout of equipment, and duct and piping systems.

Experience in the basis of design and detailed design of HVAC and Plumbing projects including chilled/hot water piping, pumps and Hydronics,

process gas piping, DX piping, condensate piping, supply/return ductwork, specialty exhaust ductwork, airflow valves, sinks, drains, ect.

Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and other mechanical engineering concepts

Computer 3D modeling (Revit) of HVAC and Plumbing systems utilizing the latest AutoCAD and other mechanical design software to develop

designs and plans. Candidate must be able to instruct cad designers with Bluebeam mark ups and or red lined dwgs.

Specification of equipment, and pricing from Vendors

Submittal review approval process, and Procore Experience.

Attend design meeting via Zoom, Teams, and in person when needed.

Excellent math skills, including advanced geometry, calculus, and physics.

Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities

Effective verbal and written communication

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to complete projects on time and develop and follow schedules with strict deadlines for themselves.

Knowledge of current energy code standards, especially California Title 24

Knowledge of HVAC control design concepts.

Qualifications:

Candidate shall possess 7+ years’ relevant experience in the design of HVAC/Mechanical and Plumbing solutions.

Must have a history of successfully preparing designs that include new construction, retrofit, and plant design, as well as documenting the process

of change and as-built modifications.
