CTR Group is seeking a Marine Electronics Technician to join our team in the British Virgin Islands. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment and machinery, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Great pay rate and benefits!

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Marine Electronics Technician to join our team. As a Marine Electronics Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems and equipment on marine vessels.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: Proven experience as a Marine Electronics Technician or similar role in the marine industry. Experience with all major brands to include B&G, Simrad, Raymarine, Garmin, and Maretron equipment.

Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of marine electronic systems and equipment, including radar, sonar, GPS, and communication devices. Familiarity with NMEA2000, SeatalkNG, and other proprietary networks. Familiarity with ABYC and NMEA standards required.

Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or certification in marine electronics is preferred. ABYC and NMEA certifications a plus and will be required after hire.

Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Proficiency in reading and writing in English and interpreting technical manuals and diagrams. Computer literacy and a high aptitude for current marine technology is required.

Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

Safety Focus: A deep commitment to adhering to safety standards, familiarity with safety standards and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail when performing maintenance and repairs to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Interpersonal Skills: Positive attitude, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Stamina: Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights when necessary. Must be able to ascend sailboat masts and to work in a bosuns chair at extended heights.

Flexibility: Willingness to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces onboard vessels, flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, and the ability to respond to emergency situations as needed
