The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Commercial Sales & Operations, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for managing sales calls using email and telephone communication and provide exceptional customer service. The right candidate will have an insatiable curiosity of what makes customers tick and the ability to turn that curiosity into sales opportunities to drive Canopy Growth and in turn our customers’ business. This is an exciting fast paced Sales opportunity for the right outgoing self-starter who is customer-centric and can find new sales opportunities, build customer relationships, and employ effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities

Selling and Influencing:

Manage all accounts in their assigned territory and establish Canopy Growth as a first-choice partner with customers.

Seek new opportunities to increase brand exposure, distribution and build partnerships that maximize profitable share and overall revenue.

Execute marketing campaigns and leverage them into consumer loyalty and sales.

Effectively manage their given territory, ensuring all administration records and information is up to date

Effectively lead brand education sessions with key stakeholders

Achieve KPI targets on:

Revenue vs Plan

Variable Margin vs Plan

Share & Distribution growth targets

Service Standard expectations (call frequency)

Marketing & Promotional activity execution

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain meaningful and valuable relationships that are favorable in supporting the annual operating plan.

Build and develop relationships with managers and staff at each assigned retail location.

Find unique opportunities to promote Canopy’s portfolio of brands within the confines of the regulations

Planning/Self-Management:

Execute territory annual sales plan and commitments.

Manage own time including building effective weekly/monthly schedules

Maintain and accurately track annual sales and consumer budgets on time

Generate new Sales leads that develop into long-term relationships.

Execute all Marketing programs within established guidelines.

Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager in planning sales activities and setting sales goals.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience

Proven track record in achieving sales quotes and KPI’s

Previous success in growing brand awareness, within a given territory, using outside of the box thinking

A technologically savvy individual who is comfortable working in a data driven environment

Experience in Beverage Alcohol or relatable industries an asset

3+ years experience in Sales and Customer Service is a asset

Proficient in CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce) is an asset

Proven track record of working remotely and independently and the ability to multi-task.

This is a full-time role based remotely out of Alberta.
