Job Description

Affiliated Pathologists Medical Group, Inc. (APMG), is a 40-physician group serving 18 hospitals, as well as one independent clinical lab in Arizona.

APMG seeks one experienced, Modified full time (30 hours per week) ASCP certified Pathologists' Assistant, who is committed to hospital-based practice, has strong surgical pathology knowledge, is articulate, has exceptional communication skills, and will provide complete grossing services.

The duties include, but are not limited to: preparation, gross description and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens; preparation of human postmortem examinations; maintaining gross room instruments and equipment; supply ordering; assisting in preparation of inspections by regulatory agencies; and may perform various managerial and/or administrative duties, transport specimen for pick up as needed, get medical records, etc..

Excellent interpersonal skills a must with lab personnel, physicians and staff. The lab holds CAP and CLIA certifications.

Applicants must have a BS with completion of a NACCLS accredited pathologist's assistant program and ASCP certification.

1 year experience in hospital setting required.Company Description
