Responsibilities
Supervise, monitor, update, + teach staff
Supervise medical care given at MCH
Address patient complaints
Update office policies and protocols
Supervise timely completion of inboxes
Evaluate and respond to communications from various medical societies
Monitor provider quality and productivity and patient+staff satisfaction + well-being
Review mid-level provider charts
Coordinate with practice manager on
Personnel concerns + hiring + training
Orienting new medical staff
Finances
Vaccine supplies and other supplies
Patient satisfaction
PCMH and other quality measures
Patient volume and scheduling
Address staff concerns
Weekly COR report/agenda
Monthly Board report
Monitor infectious disease, medical economics, political situation + research news, apply these to MCH, communicate to board/staff.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited MD/DO and pediatric or med/peds residency training program by start of employment
Completion and maintenance of ABP certification by date of hire, or within the first exam cycle after residency graduation.
Ability to provide efficient, ethical, evidence-based care while maintaining excellent patient satisfaction
Ability to manage patients with complex medical and social needs, including behavioral and mental health needs. Willingness to provide care via telemedicine when appropriate.
Skillful in providing patient education and in motivating healthy decisions
Ability to work well with all members of the healthcare team
Ability to work with families from a disadvantaged background with respect and compassion
Spanish fluency is desirable.
Responsibilities:
Outpatient patient care for 0-21 year olds, including simple office procedures
Telephone triage, and patient follow-up regarding questions, refills, ER visits and labs.
Working with nurse practitioners via a collaborative care agreement
Coordinating care with in-office care managers
Participating in quality improvement projects within the practice, such as developing new patient education materials or office protocols, presenting updates to provider staff, or assisting in writing grant proposals.
Hours: In-office weekdays, with availability to work early (at 8am) or late (until 6:30pm) one day per week, and one Saturday morning per month. Call is phone call only with a 24/7 nurse triage service, and occurs one night per week and one weekend every 6 weeks.Company Description
