Successful, profitable automotive supplier is hiring a Plant Manager to oversee the safety, operations, engineering, quality and materials functions of the plant. The Plant Manager will report to the VP of Operations, have direct and indirect reports and will be responsible for the following duties:
Fostering a production environment that is focused on safety and quality initiatives
Developing, coaching, mentoring and leading direct and indirect reports
Overseeing safety, production, engineering, quality and materials
Champion the safety initiatives of the plant
Establishing a continuous improvement culture by identifying process improvements to decrease scrap, increase efficiencies and save the organization money
Fostering relationships with support and production staff to attain plant goals and make needed improvements
Owning the P&L responsibility on a monthly, quarterly and year-end basis, including monitoring expense control
Monitoring and improving plant analytics, standard operating procedures and production metrics
Analyzing and presenting production reports and metrics to the management team
Assisting with staffing the plant and disciplinary actions
Identifying potential CapEx projects and working with engineering to oversee projects
Monitoring and improving production KPIs and metrics via the ERP system
Other duties as directed by management
Candidates should enjoy leading and developing staff, working in a team-oriented environment, communicating with internal and external departments in order to support and improve production goals, holding their team accountable, overseeing CI activities to enhance the process and spending up to 30% of their time on the production floor.

REQUIREMENTS for the Plant Manager:
Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical field
Minimum of five years in a similar production or plant operations leadership position
Strong continuous improvement background, with proven examples of scrap reductions, efficiency improvements, etc.
Experience overseeing production at a tier I or tier II automotive supplier
Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports
Experience overseeing multiple facets of operations (examples include production, quality, engineering, maintenance, materials, HR, etc.)
Experience overseeing multi-shift production environments
ERP experience
Ability to create and deliver detailed presentations to the leadership teams
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
Strong quality and/or engineering background
Power BI
Lean and/or Six Sigma Certifications
Management of CapEx projects
Metal forming or stamping
