Our client is a 30+ year, fast-growing avionics/aviation/aerospace multi-faceted service provider recognized for superior painting, technical expertise, and customer service. They specialize in repairing, refurbishing, and maintaining small to mid-size jet and turboprop aircraft. Their customers are private and commercial jet and turbo-prop plane owners. They are well-known in the industry, and their customers know them for their craftsmanship!

They are currently seeking experienced and certified A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Mechanics and Technician(s) responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations as assigned in accordance with their company policies and procedures. A Day in the Life of The A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Mechanic

As the Aviation A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following:

Providing leadership and direction to officer personnel by coaching, counseling, and developing skills

Manage the financial aspects of the project by overseeing payroll, billing, accounts receivable, scheduling, recruiting, and training.

Be available as the single point of contact for the customer

Work with all levels of the customer organization to identify, analyze, and resolve issues and create opportunities for continuous improvement

Lead by example to motivate staff and represent the company with world-class customer and client service delivery

Essential Duties of The A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Mechanic

Lines up daily with shift Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.

Performs all work and documentation in compliance with applicable FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Regulations, aircraft manufacturer (OEM) requirements, maintenance, service, and repair manuals/procedures, and Company policies and procedures. Maintain operation as 145 repair stations. Work is both scheduled and unscheduled.

Performs initial and final inspections and conducts minor and major repairs and alterations of aircraft and components, meeting airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable FAA regulations.

During the course of the inspection, the Mechanic shall verify markings on the part that the part number and serial number match the associated documentation and follow appropriate procedures if they do not.

Determine a plan or options to repair and gain required approvals to proceed with repairs and/or alterations.

Ensures Company operational goals and objectives are met.

Maintains work area in a safe, clean, and professional manner.

Other Duties are assigned when needed to help the company succeed.

14 CFR part 135 Specific:

Performs maintenance to Art Craft Policy and Procedures for each aircraft’s specific maintenance needs.

Responsible for advising the owner (or owner representative) of any maintenance or repair issues that would take an aircraft out of service.

Responsible for validating or confirming the data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft he or she is working on.

Searching for part numbers or material and entering them into the Company system to be ordered.

Request aviation parts and supplies in order to maintain an adequate and orderly inventory of all stock items to ensure prompt repairs for operational readiness.

Job Requirements:

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations & Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

At least 3-6 years of related experience and/or training and experience required.

FAA A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license required. IA (Inspection Authorization) is a bonus.

FAR (Federal Aviation Regulations) 135 operations experience.

Skills / Requirements:

Passion for Aviation.

Electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration balancing.

Sheet metal and composite repair procedures.

Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337's,

Service Bulletins, ADs, etc.

Must be computer proficient (MS Office, Aviation maintenance software)

Efficient in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information is required.

Ability to apply creativity and problem-solving skills in troubleshooting work.

Strong mechanical aptitude. “Out of the box” / Creative thinker is a bonus. Natural problem solver.

Solid interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities

Personal hand tools (tool loan programs available)

Consistently good attendance

Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Bi-lingual (English and Spanish, for example) is a bonus.

Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Highly Desirable:

Aero-IT certification

Factory training (any): Cessna, Piper, Gulf Stream, Bombardier, Beech, Cirrus, etc.

College or technical degree.

Work Environment:

Both inside as well as outside conditions;

Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds; bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and kneel;

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;

Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time;

Must utilize safety equipment at all times.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

Ability to be a team player with a positive, professional attitude.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation.

Must be able to provide documentation of prior experience and have a background in working on Specific trade skills.
