Operation Support Auditor – (Remote San Diego, CA)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for an Operation Support Auditor to join our growing team!

Candidate must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, or Washington.

This position is Full-Time Hourly Full Benefits

Pay Range: $30 - $31.25 / Hr

To be successful in this role you must meet the following requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Bachelor’s degree or similar experience required.

· 2 -3 years of multi-family industry experience required.

· Experience in supporting operational support teams.

· Knowledge of property management software platforms (Yardi, RealPage, Bostonpost, Gracehill, Revenue Management...etc.) preferred.

· Knowledge of CONAM Policy and Procedures required.

· Knowledge of Microsoft suite, including OneNote and Teams.

· Comprehensive understanding of AR entries and impact on property financials.

· Basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot bank reconciliation issues.

· Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Internal Control

· Perform operational reviews timely.

· Complete monthly remote audits and ensure effective follow up action is taken to address areas of financial risk, operational weakness and violations.

· Itemize audit exceptions revealed by operation reviews – provide the Community Manager, Regional Portfolio Manager, & Operations Analytics Manager with a copy of the audit results highlighting areas of non-compliance.

· Notice of actual, potential or suspected fraud at community is immediately communicated to Operations Analytics Manager, an appropriate investigation is designed and executed for correction action to be performed.

· Track completion of audits by Regional Portfolio Managers and monitor results.

· Ensure RPM audits are performed on a timely basis, review audit results and address follow up actions of financial risk, operational weakness and violations to Operations Analytics Manager

2. Employee Housing Audits

· Perform monthly Employee Housing Audits.

· Audit all employee files for those living at the community.

· Ensure the files have a signed Employee Lease or Employee License Agreement and is receiving the correct employee discount amount per the Associate Housing Memo.

3. Fidelity Investigation

· Perform fidelity audits timely.

· Complete emergency audits to investigate and audit suspected violations of fiduciary responsibility.

· Maintain confidentiality, providing information and audit results to the Operations Analytics Manager and Director of Operations.

· Complete fidelity memo - Once the audit is complete and the loss, if any, is quantified, a memo will be created that details the schedule of events and describes the findings in detail of any monetary loss.

4. Bank Reconciliation Audit

· Perform bank reconciliation audits - Investigate accounting discrepancies, financial management problems and reporting issues if fidelity is in question.
