TITLE: CNC Mill - Machinist SUMMARY
CNC Mill Machinist sets up, operates and programs CNC lathes, completes machining operations and makes adjustments as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, operate and program CNC lathes
Drill, tap and mill complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials
Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions
Make machine adjustments that may be required such as, checking dimensions to ensure conformance to drawings
Other duties as assigned
Have knowledge of ISO and Aerospace standards - preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work in a face paced environment, meet deadlines and stand for long periods of time. The requirements listed below are representative, but not exclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years of experience in set up, operation and programming of CNC lathe machines
Experience with lathe machining aluminum, stainless, titanium, Inconel
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines, and stand for long periods of time
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Must be able to lift 25lbs. unassisted
Must be able to stand for extended periods (8 hours minimum)
Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
Repetitive movement, twisting, physical dexterity with tools or controls, and tolerance of sounds and noise levels are generally required to perform the functions of this position
Experience with 5 axis programming - preferred
Understanding of on-machine touch probes - preferred
Ability to read and work off a blueprint - preferred
WORK CONDITIONS and ENVIRONMENT
