Estimator

Job Description

Hilton Tool is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented estimator. We’re a small company, which means there is a lot of room for growth and learning opportunities. The estimator works closely with our customers to estimate low-high volume complex parts. Jobs will be quoted using the companies ERP system with all job information loaded into estimate to arrive at the cost and timeline of completion for goods and services.

DAY SHIFT:

Monday-Thursday 7 am-4:30 pm

Friday 7 am-11 am.

Strong print reading and GD&T understanding

Ability to manage competing deadlines

Key responsibilities include the following:

· You must be flexible as process and planning can change from original plan and we need to adapt as changes are made.

· Have a strong customer focus as we are a custom machining job shop and our customer is our top priority.

· Have a plan to process parts with all details defined using the customers print.

· When issues arise during manufacturing products you will need to determine why and make a decision on what to change.

· Estimator needs to understand the standards we are trying to comply with prior to estimating the job.

· Communicating with personnel and contractual professionals or vendors, using computer software to weigh production risks.

· Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.

· Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.

· Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service.

· Creating labor estimates for any project.

· Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors.

· Managing bids from vendors and contractors.

· Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis.

· Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders.

· Compiling and recording actual costs.

Hilton Tool is a Manufacturer of Precision Machined Components. Specializing in close tolerance parts, assemblies, prototyping, production runs, CAD design, commercial valve repair, and mold repair.
