Job Summary

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes. Aparavi’s flat reporting structure will allow you to flourish and take on different challenges to grow your skillset and career.

Role and Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Month end close and year end close.

Prepares financial statements including Balance Sheets and Income Statements.

Reconciles General Ledger accounts and investigate any unreconciled differences.

Prepares journal entries including into proper General Ledger account and department.

Prepares and completes payroll for employees.

Manages Accounts Payable and pays outstanding bills.

Maintains monthly amortization schedules.

Maintains daily cash flow and prepares monthly bank reconciliations. Investigates any unreconciled differences.

Maintains fixed assets information/depreciation for the books.

Secondary Functions

Assists in the preparation of annual budgets.

Assists with ad hoc financial analysis.

Assists with the quarterly consolidation of divisions.

Prepares various accounting reports for divisions and upper management.

Assists various other departments with accounting related issues (e.g. G/L coding questions).

Qualifications & Education/certification requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA not required.

Minimum of three years’ experience in accounting or working for Big 4.

A solid understanding of Finance and Accounting theories, practices, and terminologies.

Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to create and/or maintain Excel spreadsheets using formulas.

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.

Must demonstrate the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to analyze a project/problem and define a better procedure/solution.

Attention to detail is a must.

Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.

Experience with multiple entities is a plus.

What you Get?
