This position can be home based.

Responsibilities:

The International Production Editor is responsible for the editorial quality and consistency of international training products and related materials developed by Healthcare Business Solutions Programs. Translated into more than 13 languages—distributed globally in print and electronic formats—these products provide training in cardiac arrest, first aid, stroke, and other emergencies and generate revenue to support the Association's mission.

Provides production editing on international training products in all media, as well as related materials such as exams, marketing collateral, and training network. communications. Includes proofing layouts and comparing translated material against English sources for consistency and completeness of all elements.

Follows checklists, style guides, process documents, graphic design specifications, and other quality tools; provides updates and improvements to quality tools as needed.

Performs usability testing in online courses, DVDs, apps, eBooks, and websites.

Communicate with internal and external project team members to ensure thorough and efficient editorial reviews.

Assists with the setup of globalized/localized source files, templates, and terminology management systems.

Maintains organized records of work performed; uses version control.

Continually upgrades knowledge of the Association’s products and programs.

Documents procedures.

Supports domestic editorial tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Two (2) – Five (5) years of experience:Skills and experience in copyediting and proofreading scientific, technical, or medical material.

Management of translation or design of translated materials.

Experience editing translated digital products (online courseware, mobile apps, video).

Project management skills and adherence to schedules/deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Ability to travel 15% local and overnight stay.
