Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY: General Accountant-related functions including analysis of manufacturing activities, inventory management, aged AR collections, general journal entries, and month-end accounting-related activities.

Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.

Essential Functions Statement(s) Cost Accounting Standard cost updates Perform variance analysis resulting from standard cost accounting Obtain and maintain records of approvals for cycle count adjustments and track monthly cycle count results Maintain bills of materials in the ERP system (NAV also known as Business Central) Identify opportunity for process and cost improvements Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close Inventory Management Reviewing and reconciling inventory monthly Reviewing adjustments Ensuring proper valuation and costing Fixed Assets Account for addition and deletion of fixed assets Calculate depreciation monthly Accounts Receivable Follow-up on delinquent accounts New customer set-up and credit reference verification Other projects/tasks as assigned by management Act as backup for the following areas, to cover for these positions when needed: Month-end Close Balancing cash Entering credit card transactions General ledger reconciliation Accounts Receivable Generate customer invoices Process daily deposits with the bank.

Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree, preferred but not required Experience: 3 years’ experience with exposure to cost accounting within a manufacturing environment Computer Skills: Microsoft Office applications Microsoft Navision or Dynamics 365 Business Central Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Bonus/Commission: No
