JOB TITLE: Mine Mobile Maintenance – Tire Technician

LOCATION: Robinson Mine - Ruth, NV

POSITION REPORTS TO: Mine Maintenance Shift Supervisor

ROTATING SHIFT: Yes 5/4 - 4/5 Schedule: 2 Weeks Days/2 Weeks Nights

PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

Perform tire handling functions of mining equipment, including large haul truck, OTR, and light duty tires. Perform other functions and duties as assigned by the Supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect KGHM’s values.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Valid Driver’s License.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

Tire Tech Certifications or equivalent work experience.

1-2 Years’ experience tire maintenance.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Dismount and mount Mining & OTR tires including multi-part rims.

Determine repairable tire conditions and making such repairs.

Operate heavy duty tire service equipment and tools.

Basic computer skills including tire and mine maintenance software is a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

N/A

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Heavy: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are greater than that required for Medium Work.
